Justice's debut builds monuments from distortion, compression ratios pushed past sanity until disco and rock collapse into the same glorious wreckage. Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay sampled everything, from Hall & Oates to their own feedback, crafting tracks that sounded like stadium rock filtered through blown speakers at a Parisian rave.
D.A.N.C.E. became inescapable, but Genesis and Stress revealed the duo's real agenda: making electronic music that hit like a Marshall stack. The cross symbol said it all, electro's sacred and profane noise baptism for the late 2000s.
