The lunar lounge concept frames his most ornate writing yet, skewering tech-age consumerism through a sci-fi lens that owes as much to Serge Gainsbourg as Sheffield grit.

Initial bewilderment gave way to reassessment as the album's ambition became clearer. Four Out of Five and the title track established a new template: woozy, theatrical, and defiantly unhurried, proving reinvention beats repetition.
